Nanopartículas afetam metabolismo de peixes

Pesquisadores suecos mostraram que nanopartículas de plástico são capazes afetar metabolismo de peixes

As nanopartículas têm muitas aplicações úteis, mas também levantar algumas possível saúde e preocupações ecológicas. Agora, uma nova pesquisa mostra que plástico nanopartículas são transportadas através da cadeia alimentar aquática e afetam o comportamento e metabolismo de peixes. O relatório completo está publicado 22 de fevereiro no Jornal acesso aberto PLoS ONE.

Expor peixes de nanopartículas abrandou seu comportamento alimentar e também afectado parâmetros metabólicos incluindo peso perda e colesterol níveis e distribuição.Os autores, liderados por Tommy Cedervall, Lars Anders Hansson e Sara Linse da Universidade de Lund, na Suécia, sugerem que seus resultados poderiam ser úteis para o desenvolvimento de ensaios para testar as nanopartículas e investigar potenciais riscos biológicos associados a eles.
